Rox's Intern Diary: My Chocolate Experience

It’s been 8 weeks since I started as an intern for Chocolate Clothing, and it’s been one of my life’s greatest learning experience so far. I was given the chance to do a host of activities all revolving around fashion! I did store VMD for Mother’s Day in Trinoma. I also did merchandising a week after that. We just finished our Summer Pop-Up shop which was held at Acacia Hotel in Alabang last May 12 and 13. The Pop Up Shop is an annual event for Chocolate where we think of a cool theme to feature the brand’s latest collections. Right now, we are cooking up something lovely for the mommies out there and their little ones. It’s going to be fun and cheezy! *exciting* I can’t wait to see how our little project would turn out!

I’m definitely having a blast for my internship! I have the coolest and nicest bosses and colleagues in Chocolate Clothing. It’s impressive how our office is so much fun, without losing its professionalism. Who wouldn’t want to work in that kind of environment? For me, Chocolate has proven that if you love what you do, it will never feel like work to you. Aside from all the fun I’ve been having, I’m also very, very happy with everything I’ve been learning. Before I joined Chocolate, I was unsure of the marketing side of the business. But now, with my internship, I feel like a lot of doors have opened up for me. In such a short time, I have learned so much about the marketing and promotion side of fashion. I will forever be grateful to Chocolate for all the exposure and the learnings this summer. Chocolate Clothing helped me enjoy every single task that I do for fashion - from styling and merchandising to marketing and promoting. I’m looking forward to discover more in the world that I choose to live in: FASHION!

Style Tips: Getting Down With A Button Down

Every girl should have a basic button down shirt in her closet. What's great is that this classic piece can easily be styled in different ways. Take a look at how I styled the Take It Easy Button Down Blouse and added some spice to a wardrobe staple.

Take It Easy Button Down Blouse

For a whole day of meetings: Put the "fun" in function and pair it with colored trousers and printed platforms. Throw in a girly touch by wearing some cute accessories.
1) charm necklace, 2) Tequila Sunrise cuffed skinny pants with braided belt, 3) orange bow hair clip

For a brunch date with your girlfriends: Go for the boho vibe and pair it with a maxi skirt and strappy sandals. Make sure to fold up your sleeves so you don't end up looking like a pillowcase!
1 & 3) Aqua Shore necklace, 2) Jacqui tye dye maxi skirt

For a special event: Look sweet and chic when you pair it with a lace mini skirt. Blush pinks and neutrals are tres' chic and pretty! A nude pair of pumps complete the look!
2) Dawn rings, 3) flower necklace, 4) gold tennis bangles, 5) Broadway lace mini skirt

Be sure to update your wardrobe and grab these pieces from Chocolate Clothing! Dress up and be fab!
